Professor Fitzgerald [2014–24]
The Professor Fitzgerald project constructs a speculative technological world through a series of invented devices designed to extend human existence. Presented through instructional videos and accompanying sculptures, drawings, prints, and paintings, the project examines the contradictions embedded within technological progress. Each apparatus promises preservation and improvement while simultaneously revealing new forms of vulnerability and dependence. The project investigates how inventions reshape not only human capability but the conditions of being human.
